Four RBI Day For Battershell Brings In Win For 14U Over Cincinnati Falcons!

Beau Battershell was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Friday, driving in four on two hits to lead the Stark County Terriers 14U past Cincinnati Falcons 15-6 on Friday. Battershell drove in runs on a double in the first and a double in the second.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Stark County collected 14 hits and the Falcons had eight.

The Terriers got on the board in the first inning when Ryan Grega grounded out, scoring one run.

Stark County tallied six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Chase Duplain, Grega, and Battershell and singles by Tony Wood and Nick Walter.

Duplain was on the pitcher's mound for the Terriers. He allowed five hits and three runs over three innings, walking zero.

#99 toed the rubber for the Falcons. He surrendered 11 runs on eight hits over one and one-third innings. #42 and #24 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

The Terriers totaled 14 hits. Duplain, Nate Johnson, Battershell, Grega, and Wood all had multiple hits for the team. Wood, Grega, Battershell, Johnson, and Duplain each collected two hits to lead.
