The College Terriers were regular season champions of the Western Reserve Collegiate League!



Tournament play is set for tomorrow. The First Semi-final game is at 11:00 am at Brunswick High School. If the Terriers win that game, they move on to the championship game at 6:00 pm

Stark County Terriers 18O snatched the lead late in their 3-2 victory over Mountaineer Lumber Company on Saturday. The game was tied at two in the top of the sixth when Alex Laird drew a walk, scoring one run.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Stark County Terriers 18O pitchers struck out six, while Mountaineer Lumber Company sat down 10.


Mountaineer Lumber Company opened the scoring in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. Mountaineer Lumber Company first got on the board when Zack Zimmerman singled, scoring one run.


Stark County Terriers 18O took the lead in the top of the sixth inning after Ty Sowers was struck by a pitch, and Laird walked, each scoring one run.


Hunter Bays earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The left-handed pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Jacoby Engelhardt took the loss for Mountaineer Lumber Company. The reliever went three innings, allowing two runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking six. Logan Poole started on the hill for Stark County Terriers 18O. The righty gave up five hits and two runs over two innings, striking out none and walking three. Mark Wilbur stepped on the hill first for Mountaineer Lumber Company. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over four innings, striking out seven and walking three. Anthony Warner collected the save.


Braden Broom led Stark County Terriers 18O with two hits in four at bats. Sowers and Broom each drove in one run for Stark County Terriers 18O. Stark County Terriers 18O had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Nolan Kellicker and Josh Dezenzo led the team with two free passes each.


Dean Larrance, Zimmerman, Luke Ickes, Jameson Embrescia, Bryce Holt, and Anthony Worner each collected one hit for Mountaineer Lumber Company. Zimmerman and Ickes each drove in one run for Mountaineer Lumber Company. Mountaineer Lumber Company were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Worner made the most plays with 12.

Stark County Terriers 18O were triumphant over Mountaineer Lumber Company 6-3 on Saturday at Revere High School.


Stark County Terriers 18O jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Alex Laird hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ty Williams drew a walk, scoring one run, Luke Senften drew a walk, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored two runs.


Griffin Ailes earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out none and walking three. Hendrickx took the loss for Mountaineer Lumber Company. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on zero hits, striking out two and walking five. Nolan Kellicker collected the save. Jaylen Leedy appeared in relief for Stark County Terriers 18O.


Kellicker, Laird, Josh Dezenzo, John Simecek, and Seth Yacobucci each collected one hit for Stark County Terriers 18O. Kellicker, Laird, and Williams each drove in one run for Stark County Terriers 18O. Ty Sowers led Stark County Terriers 18O with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Kellicker stole two bases. Stark County Terriers 18O turned three double plays in the game.


Rico Levak, Ashton Newton, Ryan Shimek, Zack Zimmerman, and Luke Ickes each collected one hit for Mountaineer Lumber Company. Newton, Jameson Embrescia, and Bryce Holt each drove in one run for Mountaineer Lumber Company. Mountaineer Lumber Company had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Zach Hartman, Embrescia, and Dillon Carlquist led the team with two free passes each.
