14U Loses Lead Early In Defeat To Mash Factory.

The Stark County Terriers 14U watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-0 loss to the Mash Factory Baseball Club on Sunday. Mash Factory took the lead on an error in the first inning.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Mash Factory pitchers struck out eight, while Terriers sat down three.


One bright spot for Stark County was a single by Blayne Maurer in the first inning.


Manderine was on the hill for Mash Factory. He surrendered zero runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out eight.


Tony Wood started the game for the Terriers. He lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one.


Grant Young, Maurer, Christopher Maurer, Jackson Lurie, and Ryan Grega all had one hit to lead Stark County.
