3 Pitchers Team Up As College Terriers Shut Out Release Baseball In Nightcap

Stark County Terriers 18O defeated Release (Collegiate) 10-0 on Monday at Baldwin Wallace University as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Griff Carmichael, Ty Dennison, and John Simecek each pitched for Stark County Terriers 18O in the game. Simecek induced a groundout from Andrew Holcomb to get the last out.
Stark County Terriers 18O got on the board in the top of the second inning after Ryan Bruni drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, a wild pitch scored one run, and Luke Senften hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs.
Stark County Terriers 18O added four more runs in the top of the seventh inning on three hits. Simecek doubled, scoring one run, and Aaron Tucker homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Dennison earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. LA Mighton took the loss for Release (Collegiate). The pitcher went two innings, surrendering four runs on three hits, striking out one and walking two. #8 stepped on the mound first for Release (Collegiate). The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and five runs (two earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four. Carmichael and Simecek each came on in relief for Stark County Terriers 18O and shutdown Release (Collegiate).
Tucker provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Stark County Terriers 18Owith three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Jackson Cavanaugh, Tucker, Trey Martin, and Simecek each collected one hit for Stark County Terriers 18O. Stark County Terriers 18O had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game.
