Benjamin Hymes With 3 Hits As The Terriers College Team Beats Avalanche Baseball

Benjamin Hymes collected three hits in three at bats, as Stark County Terriers 18O defeated Avalanche Baseball 7-3 on Tuesday at Boardman High School. Hymes doubled in the first inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the sixth inning.


Stark County Terriers 18O got on the board in the first inning after Hymes doubled, scoring one run.


An error extended the Stark County Terriers 18O lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.


Avalanche Baseball scored on a passed ball, which helped Avalanche Baseball tie the game at two in the bottom of the fifth.


In the top of the sixth inning, Stark County Terriers 18O went back into the lead after Alex Laird singled, and Stark County Terriers 18O scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.


Cadyn Smith earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. They surrendered two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Richie Preston took the loss for Avalanche Baseball. They went seven innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on eight hits, striking out eight and walking four. Jacob Lowery began the game for Stark County Terriers 18O. The righty gave up three hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Mason Tackett appeared in relief for Stark County Terriers 18O.


Laird stole two bases. Stark County Terriers 18O turned two double plays in the game.


#18 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Avalanche Baseball in hits. Giovanni Rococi and Devin Gruver each drove in one run for Avalanche Baseball.


Stark County Terriers 18O play at home on Thursday against Premier Ohio in their next game.
