College Team Walks Away Victorious In Sweep Over Blaze Baseball, 7-4!

The Collegiate Terriers win contest against Blaze Baseball, 7-4.


Blaze Baseball Black got things moving in the first inning. Brenden Spaulding drove in one when he singled.


Stark County pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jon Conkle hit a solo homer, Tim Dunbar singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Ben LeFebvre grounded out, scoring one run, Seth Schroeder doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Corey White doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.


Seth Blankenship took the win for the Terriers. He went five innings, allowing three runs on ten hits. Dunbar threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Dunbar recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Stark County.


Colin Kennedy took the loss for Blaze Baseball. He allowed nine hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.


The Terriers hit one home run on the day. Conkle went yard in the fourth inning.


Stark County totaled 12 hits. Schroeder, LeFebvre, and Kyle Burke each managed multiple hits for the Terriers. Schroeder led with three hits in four at bats.


The Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Conkle had the most chances in the field with ten.


Blaze Baseball tallied 12 hits. Bryant Kennedy and Spaulding all managed multiple hits. Kennedy went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
