College Terriers Claims Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Ohio Longhorns!

The Collegiate Terriers defeated the Ohio Longhorns 6-5 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with the Terriers batting in the top of the sixth when Jake Margroff doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.


Despite falling down by five runs in the seventh inning, the Longhorns tried to fight back. They scored four runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Brandon Bischof and a home run by Torrey Roper.


The Terriers scored three runs in the seventh inning. Stark County scored its runs on an RBI single by Davis Graham.


Gino Sabatine was the winning pitcher for the Terriers. He allowed four hits and four runs over six innings, striking out six. Christian Julius threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Julius recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Stark County.


Chandler Stahl took the loss for the Longhorns. He went three innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out four. Anzlec started the game for the Ohio Longhorns. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out six.


The Ohio Longhorns socked two home runs on the day. Bischof went for the long ball in the seventh inning. Roper went deep in the seventh inning as well.


The Terriers racked up 11 hits on the day. Julius, Seth Schroeder, Collin Hohman, and Margroffall had multiple hits. Julius led the team with three hits in four at bats.
