College Terriers Outdone By Golden Spikes, 5-1.

The Collegiate Terriers got things started in the first inning. Jarod Brown singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.


In the top of the second inning, The Golden Spikes tied things up at one. Kyle Karchefsky hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.


The Spikes pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.


Mason Metz led the Spikes to victory on the mound. He surrendered one run on six hits over six innings, striking out eight. Ronald Krsolovic threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.


Cory Burroughs took the loss for Stark County. He allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two.


Rylee Wallace started the game for the Terriers. He surrendered one run on three hits over two innings, striking out three and walking none.


Zake Hawkins went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits.


The Golden Spikes saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Donald Watters, Seth Gergely, and Scott Seeker all collected multiple hits for the Spikes.
