College Terriers Take The Lead Late And Defeat The Mountaineer Lumber Company in Game 2

Stark County Terriers 18O snatched the lead late in their 4-2 victory over Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O on Saturday. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the sixth when Kaiden Mastri singled, scoring two runs.


Stark County Terriers 18O got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nolan Kellicker singled to center field, and Mastri walked, each scoring one run.


Taiger grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O tie the game at two in the top of the sixth.


Kael Poland earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The starter gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking four. Stobbs took the loss for Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O. The hurler went two innings, surrendering two runs on one hit, striking out four and walking two. Luke Jansen appeared in relief for Stark County Terriers 18O.


Mastri drove the middle of the lineup, leading Stark County Terriers 18O with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. John Toth, Kyle Benson, Kellicker, and Mastri each collected one hit for Stark County Terriers 18O.


Taiger led Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O with one run batted in.  Ryan Shimek led Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O with two hits in three at bats. Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O turned two double plays in the game. Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Dominic Trivisonno made the most plays with seven.
