Collegiate Terriers Claim Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Premier Ohio In Game Two On Sunday!

The Collegiate Terriers stole the lead late and defeated Premier Ohio 12-8 on Sunday. The game was tied at eight with the Terriers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Chad Wakebayashi's wild pitch allowed one run to score.


Premier Ohio scored five runs in the third inning, but Stark County still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Premier Ohio came thanks to singles by Sam Zeleznik and Misael Guzman, a walk by RJ Dean, and a home run by Yadiel Sanchez.


The Terriers opened up scoring in the first inning when Jon Conkle grounded out, scoring two runs.


Christian Julius was the winning pitcher for Stark County. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out five.


Wakebayashi took the loss for Premier Ohio. He went two innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out three.


Aaron George started the game for the Terriers. He allowed nine hits and eight runs over two and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero.


Jonathon Ambro started the game for Premier Ohio. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing six runs on one hit.


Aidan Arkwright went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits. The Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Collin Hohman had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.


Premier Ohio totaled 12 hits. Michael Williams, Bryan Dembie, Sanchez, Doc Campagna, and Guzman all had multiple hits.
