Collegiate Terriers Clinch Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Dugout Baseball!

The Stark County Terriers nabbed the lead late in the game in an 8-4 victory over Dugout Baseball on Saturday. The game was tied at four with the Terriers batting in the top of the sixth when Lane Marshall hit a solo homer.


Dugout Baseball opened up scoring in the first inning. Seth Freeman singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.


Stark County tallied four runs in the third inning. Terriers batters contributing to the big inning included John Philippi, Marshall, and Zach Hawkins, who each had RBIs in the inning.



Logan Jones started the game for Stark County. The pitcher went three innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking one. Cooper Davies was credited with the victory for the Terriers. The lefthander went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero. Christian Harris threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.


Neck started the game for Dugout Baseball. He went five and a third innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out four. Bobby Helt threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.


The Terriers socked one home run on the day. Marshall had a homer in the sixth inning.


Stark County racked up 11 hits in the game. Marshall, Philippi, and Davis Burick each racked up multiple hits. Marshall led the Terriers with three hits in four at bats.


Dugout Baseball totaled eight hits. Dominick Prevesk, Vince D’Eusanio, and Freeman each collected multiple hits. Prevesk led Dugout Baseball with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
