Collegiate Terriers Grab Lead In Extra Innings To Defeat T3 Warhawks in Semi-Final Matchup!

The Stark County Terriers took the lead late in this NABF Semi-Final matchup to post a 4-3 victory over the T3 Warhawks on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Stark County batting in the top of the eleventh when Jack Mathey singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.


The Terriers earned the victory despite allowing the Warhawks to score three runs in the seventh inning. The Warhawks's big inning was driven by doubles by Aidan Grabowski and Alex Stegman and a single by Michael Stenger.


Matthew Auckerman started the game for the Terriers. The pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs on nine hits, striking out eight and walking zero. Nate Floyd threw five innings in relief out of the bullpen and got the win.


Jake Becks took the loss in relief for the Warhawks. Chris Phillips started the game for the Warhawks. The bulldog lasted six and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out three.


The Terriers hit one home run on the day. Breydan Cavey had a dinger in the seventh inning.


Stark County tallied eight hits in the game. Lane Marshall, John Philippi, and Mathey all had multiple hits for the team. The Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Mathey had 15 chances in the field, the most on the team.


The Warhawks racked up nine hits on the day. Eric Colaco and Stegman each racked up multiple hits.
