The Stark County Terriers 14U seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple the Mentor Cardinals. Stark County trailed 10-9 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Kaleb Corrin doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Corrin led the Terriers to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Corrin drove in runs on a single in the fourth, a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and a double in the seventh.
The Cardinals got on the board in the first inning when Findura doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Tony Wood led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Terriers. He surrendered seven runs on ten hits over two innings, walking zero.
Compton was on the pitcher's mound for the Mentor Cardinals. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out two. Cerny and Pohto entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
