Early Lead For Premier Ohio Seals Fate For Collegiate Terriers

The Stark County Terriers fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-1 loss to Premier Ohio on Wednesday. Premier Ohio scored on a walk by Ty Stolarski in the first inning, a double by Mitchel Szymczak in the second inning and a single by Noah Brazytis in the second inning.


The Terriers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Premier Ohio, giving up eight runs.


Premier Ohio opened up scoring in the first inning, when Stolarski drew a walk, scoring one run. They scored five runs in the second inning. Zachary Gaspar, Szymczak, and Brazytis each had RBIs in the frame.


Jacob Rocky pitched Premier Ohio to victory. The ace surrendered no runs on no hits over three innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Jed Hanzie, Jacob Hanzie and Kyle Callahan all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.


Colin Skolaris took the loss for the Terriers. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and six runs.


Braden Broom went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits. The Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Grant Nehrenz had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.


Brazytis led Premier Ohio with three hits in four at bats.
