The Stark County Terriers lost the lead late in a 10-6 defeat to B2 Bulls on Saturday in game 2 of a double header. The game was tied at six with the Bulls batting in the bottom of the fifth when Shane Rothlisberger singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Terriers lost despite out-hitting B2 Bulls nine to eight.
Stark County got things moving in the first inning. They scored one run when Benny Hymes singled.
The Terriers tallied three runs in the second inning. Josh Dezenzo, Hymes, and Nathan Grega each had RBIs in the frame.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Bulls tied things up at six when Dylan Gamber grounded out, scoring one run.
Trent Bucy was on the hill for the B2 Bulls. The bulldog lasted one and one-third innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out one.
Anthony Warner started the game for Stark County. The pitcher went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out three. Colin Skolaris threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Hymes went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Terriers in hits.
B2 Bulls saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Rothlisberger and Joseph Lehner all managed multiple hits for the B2 Bulls.
