Lorain County Ironmen Run Away With Early Lead In Victory Over Collegiate Terriers.

The Collegiate Terriers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-0 loss to the Lorain County Ironmen on Tuesday. Lorain County scored on a fielder's choice by Nick Ferrell in the first inning, a error during Daniel Heiser's at bat in the first inning, a double by Jason Gregovits in the second inning, and a single by Jacob Budnar in the second inning.


The Terriers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Ironmen, giving up seven runs.


In the first inning, Lorain County Ironmen got their offense started. Ferrell hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.


One bright spot for the Terriers was a double by Jordan Hite in the first inning.


Aaron Olech was the winning pitcher for Lorain County Ironmen. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, walking one. William Laidlaw threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.


Gino Sabatine took the loss for Stark County. He allowed eight hits and six runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.


Kyle Burke and Hite each collected one hit to lead the Terriers.


Lorain County racked up nine hits in the game. Jacob Lozinski and CJ Colson each had multiple hits for the Ironmen.
