Pitching Impressive As College Terriers Beat Release Baseball In Game 2

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but Stark County Terriers 18O defeated Release Baseball WRCL 3-0. Griffin Ailes started the game for Stark County Terriers 18O and recorded 16 outs.


Stark County Terriers 18O got on the board in the top of the sixth inning after John Simecek singled, scoring two runs, and Parker Varney was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.


Ailes earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. They gave up two hits and zero runs over five and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two. Henry Slaby took the loss for Release Baseball WRCL. The starting pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on three hits, striking out eight and walking six. Hunter Bays collected the save.


Simecek drove the middle of the lineup, leading Stark County Terriers 18O with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. Varney, Simecek, and Ty Williams each collected one hit for Stark County Terriers 18O. Stark County Terriers 18O had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Nolan Kellicker and Caleb Collins led the team with two walks each.


Anthony Huttter, Joey Griffiths, Ryan DiLullo, and Hunter Mckenzie each collected one hit for Release Baseball WRCL. Release Baseball WRCL were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Slaby made the most plays with one.
