Stark County Terriers 12U (Kiko) Start Season Undefeated, Win Longball Shootout Gold Bracket

The Stark County Terriers 12U (Kiko) came out swinging to start their 2025 season, going a perfect 5-0 over the weekend to take home the Gold Bracket Championship at the Longball Shootout.
The Terriers battled through a tough field, picking up close wins in every matchup:
4-3 vs Tallmadge Tridents 12U
3-2 vs Knights Knation Midwest Caldwell
8-7 vs Ohio Spikes
6-5 vs Knights Knation Midwest Caldwell (Semi-Finals)
3-1 vs Marucci Spikes (Championship Game)
The team showed resilience, energy, and great execution all weekend long. Several players stood out with strong performances on both sides of the ball:
• Cy Griffith – Posted a .538 average with 7 hits, including 2 triples. Dominated on the mound with 5 shutout innings, striking out 13 hitters.
• Jack Rehfus – Hit .364 with 4 hits and 3 RBIs, while recording a 1.33 ERA. Threw 4 clutch innings in the championship game, tallying 6 strikeouts for the weekend.
• Sam Jackson – Delivered at the plate with a .500 average, racking up 5 hits and 3 RBIs.
It was a true team effort to bring home the title, and the Terriers are just getting started.
