Stark County Terriers 18O were triumphant over Premier Ohio 6-2 on Wednesday at Walsh University.
Premier Ohio were the first to get on the board in the second when Edward Ramos scored after tagging up.
Stark County Terriers 18O flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by William Feser that drove in three.
Brandon Bechtold earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The lefty gave up zero hits and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Nolan Kelley took the loss for Premier Ohio. The hurler went four innings, surrendering six runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out six and walking three. Michael Steingass stepped on the hill first for Premier Ohio. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Caleb Collins pitched two innings of scoreless ball for Stark County Terriers 18O in relief. The righty gave up zero hits, striking out two and walking none.
Feser and Luke Senften were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Stark County Terriers 18O while hitting back-to-back. Feser led Stark County Terriers 18O with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Collins stole two bases. Stark County Terriers 18O ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game.
Ramos went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Premier Ohio in hits.
