Terriers College Team Takes Nightcap in Triumph Over the Mountaineer Lumber Company

Stark County Terriers 18O were victorious against Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O 5-2 on Sunday at Revere High School.


Stark County Terriers 18O were the first to get on the board in the first when Kaiden Mastri singled, scoring one run.


Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Clark homered to right field, and Misener doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run.


In the top of the third inning, Stark County Terriers 18O went back into the lead after Mastri grounded out, and Josh Dezenzo doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Dylan Rouse earned the win for Stark County Terriers 18O. The hurler gave up two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. #7 took the loss for Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out none and walking four. Harabedian stepped on the mound first for Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Ty Dennison collected the save. Kael Poland pitched two innings of shutout ball for Stark County Terriers 18O in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out four and walking three.


Stark County Terriers 18O accumulated nine hits in the game. Mastri provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Stark County Terriers 18O with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Gavin Marceric went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Stark County Terriers 18O in hits. Stark County Terriers 18O were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. John Toth had the most chances in the field with 11.


Jon Mitchner, Clark, and Misener each collected one hit for Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O. Clark and Misener each drove in one run for Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O. Zach Hartman led Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Mountaineer Lumber Company 18O were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Green made the most plays with six.
