Stark County Terriers Collegiate stayed in it until the end, but the B2 Bulls pulled away late in a 12-3 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at three with B2 Bulls batting in the bottom of the fifth when Ryan Funderburg drew a walk, scoring one run.
The Terriers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Bulls, giving up 12 runs.
The Bulls scored five runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught by the B2 Bulls was led by Blake Barker, Michael Ferl, and Zack Carinci, all knocking in runs in the inning.
#5 took the win for the Bulls. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out 12.
Cooper Davies took the loss for the Terriers. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs over three and a third innings, striking out five.
Cole Maley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits.
The B2 Bulls tallied 12 hits in the game. Barker, Carinci, and Noah Brazytis all had multiple hits. They didn't commit a single error in the field. #5 had the most chances in the field with one.
