Terriers Collegiate Drops Semi-Final Game To Ohio Elite After Late Score

Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O stayed in it until the end, but Ohio Elite pulled away late in a 2-1 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at one with Ohio Elite batting in the top of the sixth when Bradley Goodyear doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Ohio Elite pitchers struck out six, while Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O sat down eight.


Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O got on the board in the second inning when Shea Simmer doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.


Ohio Elite evened things up at one in the top of the third inning when Luke Thomas grounded into a double play, scoring one run.


Jacob Visha was credited with the victory for Ohio Elite. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out five and walking zero.


Drew Hallgren took the loss for Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking zero.


Zach King started the game for Ohio Elite. The hurler went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out one Griffin Malick started the game for Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O. Malick went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one and walking zero.


Simmer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O in hits. Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O didn't commit a single error in the field. Cole Maley had the most chances in the field with eight.


Ohio Elite collected seven hits on the day. Ian Ash and Andrew Micale all managed multiple hits for Ohio Elite.
