Terriers Collegiate Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat BHM Buckeyes

Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O took the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over BHM Buckeyes on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jacob Loundon doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.


The pitching was strong on both sides. Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O pitchers struck out 12, while BHM Buckeyes pitchers sat down four.


Austin Hamilton was the winning pitcher for Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O. The bulldog lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three and walking one. Aaron Miller threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Miller recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O.


Bryant Caporale took the loss for BHM Buckeyes. The pitcher surrendered one run on two hits over three and a third innings, striking out four.


Evan Faxon started the game for BHM Buckeyes. Faxon lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs Griffin Malick started the game for Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O. The hurler lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out eight.


Nick Rossetti, Shea Simmer, Ben Lefebvre, and Loundon each managed one hit to lead Stark County Terriers Collegiate 18O.


BHM Buckeyes racked up six hits. Lucas Thomeier and Michael Ferl each collected multiple hits for BHM Buckeyes. Ferl led BHM Buckeyes with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
