Terriers Collegiate Opens WS Play As Early Lead Over Jasper Reds Sets Stage For Victory!

The Stark County Terriers defeated the Jasper Reds 12-2 thanks to a strong start. The Terriers scored on a single by Lane Marshall and a single by John Philippi in the first inning.


They secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the third inning. Breydan Cavey, Ben Lefebvre, and Davis Burick all drove in runs in the frame.


Bueford was the winning pitcher for Stark County. He surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one.


Wright took the loss for the Reds. The hurler allowed seven hits and seven runs over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.


Stark County scattered 11 hits in the game. Shea Simmer, Lefebvre, Philippi, and Cavey all managed multiple hits for the Terriers. Cavey, Philippi, Lefebvre, and Simmer each collected two hits to lead the team. Stark County was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jack Mathey had the most chances in the field with four.
