Terriers Collegiate team joins a new league!



The Stark County Terriers Collegiate team will be one of six teams to join the newly formed Western Reserve Collegiate League for the 2019 season. The five teams that are joining the new league are Blaze Baseball Black, Golden Spikes Baseball, Lake Erie Warhawks, Lorain County Ironmen and Premier Ohio.

The Stark County Terriers home field will be North Canton High School baseball field. The Terriers will be managed by Jeff Hite and his assistant coach is Steve Cunningham.

The league will play a 25 game schedule playing each team 5 times. The Western Reserve Collegiate League winner will receive an automatic bid to the NABF 22-U World series in Toledo, Ohio July 25-28.

The WRCL will host a regional tournament for teams to get a bid to the NABF 22-U World series in July, date TBA. The Terriers will be playing in the Blaze Black July 4th baseball tournament open to all collegiate teams in Ohio.

The scheduling meeting for the Western Reserve Collegiate League will be February 9th.
