Two College Terriers Pitchers Rally Together To Shutout Premier Ohio In Nightcap

The Stark County Terriers defeated Premier Ohio 11-0 on Sunday, in game 2 of a double header, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.


Benny Hymes led the Terriers to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in 4 runs on a grand slam in the fourth.


One bright spot for Premier Ohio was a single by Ian Kichurchak in the fifth inning.


Anthony Warner took the win for Stark County. The righthander allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six. Colin Skolaris threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.


Jacob Koces took the loss for Premier Ohio. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two.


Stark County tallied one home run on the day. Hymes went deep in the fourth inning and they racked up ten hits. Hymes, Nathan Grega, and Mason Stoldt each had multiple hits for the Terriers. Hymes led the team with three hits in four at bats.


The Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Isaiah Miller had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.


Kichurchak went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Premier Ohio in hits.
