Ohio Diablos Captures Lead Early To Defeat Terriers 15U

The Stark County Terriers 15U watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-1 loss to Ohio Diablos on Saturday. The Ohio Diablos scored on a single by Gromen and a groundout by Rhoden in the first inning.

The Terriers lost despite out-hitting Ohio Diablos nine to eight.

The Diablos got things moving in the first inning. Gromen drove in three when he singled.

The Diablos scored five runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by Ohio Diablos was led by Corrigan, Sommers, Rhoden, and Antus, all driving in runs in the inning.

Obringer got the start for the Ohio Diablos. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two.

Taylor was on the hill for Stark County. He lasted two innings, allowing six hits and nine runs while striking out two. Sealy and Hartsoe entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

TThe Terriers collected nine hits. Taylor, Sowers, and Hartsoe all managed multiple hits. Hartsoe, Sowers, and Taylor each managed two hits to lead Stark County.

Suprinski led the Ohio Diablos with three hits in three at bats.
