The Stark County Terriers 15U took the lead late in the game in a 9-4 victory over Hurricanes Select on Saturday. The game was tied at four withthe Terriers batting in the top of the seventh when Kaiden Mastri singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Stark County earned the victory despite allowing the Hurricanes to score three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. #42 and #24 all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Hurricanes Select got things moving in the first inning. Ashton hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.
Skelding was on the hill for the Terriers. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out six.
Wrobleski led things off on the mound for the Hurricanes. He went four and a third innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out six. #42 threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Braidyn Hartsoe led Stark County with three hits in three at bats.
