14U Can't Hold Up Against Spikes in Championship game — lose 9-2

The Terriers 14U fell in the championship game to the Canton Spikes, 9-2 on Sunday evening.


The Spikes scored seven runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Spikes was led by #23, #00, #10, and #7, all driving in runs in the inning.


#4 led things off on the pitcher's mound for Spikes. He allowed four hits and one run over four innings, striking out five.


Blayne Maurer was on the pitcher's mound for the Terriers. He surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out five and walking zero. Kaleb Corrin and Ryan Grega entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning apiece.


Christopher Maurer led the Terriers with two hits in two at bats.


The Spikes tallied seven hits in the game. #7, #23, and #10 each had multiple hits for Spikes.
