14U Loses Lead Early In Defeat to Lookouts

The Terriers 14 U fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-4 loss to Brownlee Lookouts on Saturday. BrownLee Lookouts scored on a single by Leedham, a wild pitch during Shimmel's at bat, and a single by Bays in the first inning.


The Stark County struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Brownlee Lookouts, giving up 11 runs.


The Lookouts opened up scoring in the first inning. Leedham drove in one when he singled.


Brownlees scored five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by the Lookouts was led by Rouse, Collins, and Shimmel, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.


Collins led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Lookouts. He surrendered two runs on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out one.


Ryan Grega started the game for the Terriers. He went two innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out two. Beau Battershell and Jackson Lurie entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.


Kaleb Corrin went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits.


Shimmel led the Lookouts with two hits in three at bats.
