14U Overcomes Perry In Face Of Early 7-Run Inning!

The Stark County Terriers 14U managed through a push by Perry in the fourth inning where they coughed up seven runs, but still won 23-12 on Tuesday. #17, #28, #27, #8, #19, and #21 each had RBIs in the big inning.


The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Stark County collected 14 hits and Perry had nine.


The Terriers fired up the offense in the first inning. They scored one run when Christopher Maurer doubled.


Maurer was on the hill fo the Terriers. He went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out three.


#9 started the game for Perry. He surrendered eight runs on three hits over one inning. #28, #42, and #14 each contributed in relief for the Panthers.


The Terriers racked up 14 hits on the day. Blayne Maurer, Beau Battershell, Chase Duplain, and Maurer each collected multiple hits. Maurer led with three hits in five at bats.


The Terriers stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Duplain led the way with two.
