14U Struggles To Find Groove Against Midwest Stars

Tuesday was a long day for the Stark County Terriers 14U, falling to the Midwest Stars 11-2.


The Terriers got things moving in the first inning. Ryan Grega doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.


The Midwest Stars pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Jambordrew a walk, scoring one run, Haas singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Midwest Stars scored one run on a stolen base.


Grant Young was on the mound for Stark County. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings. Grega, Tony Wood, and Jackson Lurie each contributed in relief for the Terriers.


Adrian Gesquiere, Chase Duplain, Young, Wood, and Grega each collected one hit to lead Stark County.


The Midwest Stars racked up ten hits. Duffy, King, and Haas all managed multiple hits for the Stars. Duffy led the team with three hits in four at bats. Goske led with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
