The Stark County Terriers 11U jumped out to an early lead over the Louisville Leopards and took home a 13-3 victory on Wednesday. The Terriers scored on a walk by Grant S, a walk by Evan M, and a double by Teddy S in the first inning.
Stark County secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the second inning. Terriers batters contributing to the big inning included Thomas W, Jayden C, Jackson H, Evan, and Teddy, all driving in runs in the frame.
The Terriers scored seven runs in the second inning. Offense in the inning was led by Thomas, Jayden, Jackson, Evan, and Teddy, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Thomas got the start for the Terriers. The righthander allowed two hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Bryson H led things off on the hill for Louisville. The hurler surrendered six runs on three hits over one inning. Levi W threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Stark County racked up 12 hits. Teddy, Evan, and Thomas all managed multiple hits for the Terriers. Teddy led with three hits in three at bats. The Terriers stole 11 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Decatur M led the way with two.
Louisville didn't commit a single error in the field. Landon B had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
