Terriers 14U Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Boys Of Summer

The Terriers 14U grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-3 victory over Boys of Summer on Saturday. They scored on a double by Ryan Grega, a walk by Jackson Lurie, and a walk by Nate Johnson in the first inning.


The Terriers earned the victory despite allowing Boys of Summer to score three runs in the first inning. Boys of Summer's big inning was driven by a walk by Carter, a groundout by Jack, and a double by Austin.


The Terriers notched four runs in the second inning. They scored their runs on a fielder's choice by Christopher Maurer.


Lurie led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Terriers. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out two.


Joe was on the hill for Boys of Summer. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing two hits and eight runs while striking out three. Doug threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.


Maurer, Grega, and Tony Wood each collected one hit to lead the Terriers.
