The Stark County Terriers 15U took the lead late in the game in an 8-6 victory over Final Score Sporting Goods Heat Baseball on Thursday. The game was tied at three with the Terriers batting in the top of the fifth when Ty Sowers doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Stark County built a five-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Final Score's charge. Final Score scored three runs in the failed comeback on a fielder's choice by Colin Russ, a walk by Owen Menge, and a single by Cody Davis.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Final Score Sporting Goods Heat Baseball 15U tied things up at three when Russ drew a walk, scoring one run.
