The Collegiate Terriers lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to the Golden Spikes on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with the Spikes batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kyle Karchefsky singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
The Terriers fired up the offense in the second inning. Davis Graham grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Golden Spikes tied things up at three. Scott Seeker drove in three when he homered.

Owen Barnard led the Golden Spikes to victory on the mound. He allowed five hits and three runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Ronald Krsolovic threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Krsolovic recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Golden Spikes.
Aaron George took the loss for the Terriers. He surrendered four runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Collin Hohman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits.
The Golden Spikes saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Tommy Murphy and Nathan Rose each racked up multiple hits for the Spikes.
