Despite Eight Hits Terriers 11U Loses To The Lake.

Terriers 11U's bats were strong against Lake on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as Terriers 11U fell 10-6.


Terriers 11U lost despite out-hitting Lake eight to seven.


Terriers 11U got things started in the first inning when Grant S tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.


Lake pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Yannucci doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and an error scored one run for Lake.

Terriers 11U tallied five runs in the fourth inning. Teddy S, Camden D, Thomas W, and Decatur M all drove in runs in the frame.


Lake scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Lake came thanks to a groundout by Yannucci and an error on a ball put in play by Elliott.


Marsco got the start for Lake. Marsco allowed five hits and two runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.


Teddy was on the mound for Terriers 11U. Teddy lasted three innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out two. Grant threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.


Terriers 11U racked up eight hits on the day. Thomas, Grant, and Decatur all managed multiple hits for Terriers 11U. Decatur, Grant, and Thomas each collected two hits to lead Terriers 11U. Thomas led Terriers 11U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

Lake racked up seven hits in the game. Swinning and Elliott all had multiple hits for Lake.


Lake tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Booth led the way with three. Lake didn't commit a single error in the field. Dawn had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
