Early Lead For Ohio Elite Seals Fate For Collegiate Terriers.

The Stark County Terriers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Ohio Elite on Sunday. Ohio Elite took the lead on a single in the second inning.


Ohio Elite got things moving in the second inning. Casey Leddy drove in one when Leddy singled.

One bright spot for the Terriers was a double by Breydan Cavey in the second inning.


Matthew Aukerman earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Ohio Elite. The ace lasted five and a third innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out eight. Christopher Franks threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.


Spencer Atkins took the loss for Stark County. Atkins surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six.


John Philippi, Ben Lefebvre, Shea Simmer, and Cavey each collected one hit to lead the Terriers. Stark County was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Zach Hawkins had the most chances in the field with eight.


Dakota Miller led Ohio Elite with two hits in three at bats.
