Gabe A. Shines At The Plate In Terriers 11U Victory Over Midwest Stars Belcher

Gabe A did the opposing team no favors on Monday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Terriers 11U to a 18-8 win over Midwest Stars Belcher. Gabe doubled in the first, doubled in the first, singled in the second, and doubled in the fourth.


Terriers 11U grabbed an early lead. Terriers 11U scored on a double by Gabe, a double by Grant S, a single by Jackson H, a walk by Decatur M, a single by Kalvin F, a single by Evan M, a double by Gabe, and a single by Grant in the first inning.


After Midwest Stars Belcher scored two runs in the top of the third, Terriers 11U answered with two of their own. Midwest Stars Belcher scored when Bentley M singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Luke M hit a solo homer. Terriers 11U then answered when Brayden E singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and Decatur singled on a 3-0 count, scoring one run.


Midwest Stars Belcher scored four runs in the fourth inning. Midwest Stars Belcher scored its runs on a single by Sal L.


Grant took the win for Terriers 11U. Grant surrendered four runs on five hits over three innings, striking out six and walking zero. Teddy S threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Teddy recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Terriers 11U.


Bentley took the loss for Midwest Stars Belcher. Bentley allowed 13 hits and 14 runs over two innings, striking out three.


Midwest Stars Belcher smacked three home runs on the day. Bentley had a dinger in the first inning. Luke had a homer in the first and third innings.


Terriers 11U totaled 19 hits in the game. Gabe, Evan, Grant, Thomas W, Decatur, and Jackson all managed multiple hits for Terriers 11U. Gabe led Terriers 11U with four hits in four at bats. Terriers 11U tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Decatur led the way with two.


Midwest Stars Belcher totaled nine hits. Bentley and Luke each racked up multiple hits for Midwest Stars Belcher. Bentley went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Midwest Stars Belcher in hits. Midwest Stars Belcher was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Max B made the most plays with four.
