Terriers 15U Lose Heartbreaker To Titans Orange After Eighth Inning Score In Championship Game!

The Stark County Terriers 15U lost the lead late in a 10-8 defeat to Titans Orange on Sunday. The game was tied at seven with Titans Orange batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored two runs for Titans Orange.


Despite the loss, Stark County did collect 13 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Titans Orange had nine hits on the way to victory.


Titans Orange fired up the offense in the second inning, when Lohse singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.


Titans Orange evened things up at seven in the top of the seventh inning when a sacrifice bunt by Kerscher scored one run.


The Terriers tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Ayden Hall and Curt Taylor contributed in the big inning with RBIs.


Nehrenz led things off on the mound for Titans Orange. He went two and a third innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking zero.


Kaiden Mastri started the game for Stark County. He surrendered six runs on six hits over five innings, striking out one. Ty Sowers and Kaleb Corrin entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.


The Terriers collected 13 hits on the day. Taylor, Sameer Sealy, Hall, and Sowers each managed multiple hits. Taylor went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Stark County in hits.
