Terriers 15U's Early Lead Over Northern Ohio Thunder Sets Stage For Victory In Semi's!

The Stark County Terriers 15U grabbed an early lead on its way to a 12-2 victory over the Northern Ohio Thunder on Sunday. They scored on a single by Curt Taylor, a single by Kaiden Mastri, and a single by Ty Sowers in the first inning.


Stark County notched four runs in the fourth inning.The Terriers offense in the inning was led by Braden Broom, Ayden Hall, Sowers, and Alec Marran, all knocking in runs in the inning.


Hall got the start for Stark County. He went six innings, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out nine and walking zero.


Connor Betts was on the hill for the Thunder. He went five innings, allowing 12 runs on 18 hits and striking out five.


The Terriers racked up 18 hits on the day. Mastri, Braidyn Hartsoe, Dylan Patterson, Broom, Taylor, Hall, and Sowers all managed multiple hits. Mastri went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. The Terriers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Landon Waller made the most plays with nine. Hartsoe led Stark County with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.


Jojo Norwood led Northern Ohio with one hit in two at bats. The Thunder didn't commit a single error in the field. Derf had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
