Terriers Blow Out BHM Buckeyes Thanks To Big Sixth Inning

The Stark County Terriers knocked in four runs in the sixth on its way to a 7-1 victory over the BHM Buckeyes on Thursday. The rally was led by doubles by Grant Nehrenz and Nathan Grega and a single by Kaiden Mastri.


The Buckeyes got things moving in the second inning, when an error scored one run.


The Terriers pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Stark County and Josh Dezenzo doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.


Stark County notched four runs in the sixth inning. Mastri, Nehrenz, and Grega each drove in runs during the inning.


Connor Evanich was on the hill for the Terriers. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out seven and walking zero.


Joey Schimizzi started the game for the BHM Buckeyes. The hurler allowed six hits and six runs over five innings. Tim Munz threw two innings out of the bullpen.


The Terriers totaled nine hits in the game. Dezenzo and Grega each collected multiple hits for Stark County. Dezenzo went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
